Day 1:

Arrival in Colombo


Welcome to Sri Lanka!

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport. A representative from Endless Escapes will greet you and take you to your chosen 4/5-star hotel in Colombo, the capital city. Your adventure begins in the vibrant capital city of Colombo, where modernity meets tradition.

Relax at the hotel to recover from jet lag. Depending on your arrival time, you can take a stroll at Galle Face Green as the sun sets or dine at the hotel and retire for the night.

Day 2:

  • After breakfast at the hotel, visit Colombo Museum. Then head down South to your next destination – Galle. Explore the enchanting UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, a Dutch colonial masterpiece by the sea. Explore the Fort and enjoy shopping in a host of luxury boutiques, gem and jewellery shops, Barefoot, and antique shops. You can visit the Dutch Reformed Church and Maritime Museum within the Fort. Towards sunset, head to the historical ramparts to experience the stunning sunset over the horizon in the Indian Ocean. Head to the hotel in Koggala for a restful night.

    Day 3:

    Koggala Beach


    Luxuriate in a beachfront resort in Koggala and savor the finest seafood cuisine. Take a boat ride in Koggala Lake and enjoy the day in this small coastal town in the Southern end of the Island.

    Day 4:

    Yala National Park


    After breakfast at the hotel, head to Yala National Park. Enjoy a scrumptious lunch at a hotel bordering the park. Embark on a safari tour in Yala, known for its leopard population and other wildlife such as elephant, bear, and birds.

    At nightfall, return to a luxury safari lodge and experience, reflecting on the adventures of the day.

    Day 5:

    Yala National Park


    You have several options – having a picnic breakfast in the Park during your morning safari or enjoy a break at the lodge or the hotel you are staying and take a dip in the pool, lazing around. And take off on an afternoon safari after a scrumptious lunch.

    The other option would be to head off for a full day’s tour, having a picnic lunch provided by the hotel. You can go deeper into less visited areas of the Park in search Sri Lanka’s Big 5.

    Return to the lodge/hotel for the night.

    Day 6:

    Ella


    After a restful sleep and a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel, you’ll embark on an exciting journey through Sri Lanka’s breathtaking Hill Country. Take in the stunning scenery and the fresh mountain air. Don’t forget to take some photos of the vibrant tea plantations and cascading waterfalls.

    One of the highlights of the journey is the iconic Nine Arches Bridge. This architectural marvel offers fantastic photo opportunities.

    Continue to immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of the Hill Country as you travel through the hills and valleys. This region is known for its cool climate and beautiful vistas. After a full day of scenic exploration, you will return to your hotel for the night.

    Day 7:

    Ella


    Wake up early to a stunning sunrise over the picturesque valley in Ella. The morning light over the misty hills is truly breathtaking.

    After breakfast, take some time to explore the rolling hills of Ella. You can choose to go for a leisurely stroll to enjoy the serene surroundings or opt for a more adventurous hike to one of the nearby viewpoints for panoramic vistas. Return to the hotel for the night.

    Day 8:

    Kandy


    After breakfast, leave for Kandy, the last kingdom of ancient Lanka, passing picturesque landscapes in the hill country.

    Enjoy a restful evening in the hotel.

    Day 9:

    Kandy


    Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast in your hotel and head to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, in time for the morning pooja. The Temple’s upper chamber is believed to house Buddha’s tooth relic within seven gold caskets. Be captivated by traditional drummers and musicians during the pooja. Look out for the intricate wood carvings and medieval Sri Lankan art on columns and walls. Visit the Museum within the temple premises to view a magnificent collection of weapons, jewelry, tools, and other artifacts from the Kandyan era from the 17th to the 19th century, and post British Colonial era, including a copy of the 1815 agreement that handed over the Kandyan provinces to the British.

    Then head to the Royal Botanical Gardens, where you can first enjoy lunch at the restaurant in the Park or picnic under a shady tree and enjoy a lunch packed by your hotel. Marvel at tropical orchids, cacti, and abundant flora. Return to the hotel for a restful night.

    Day 10:

    Journey to Passikudah


    As the morning sun gently rises over the mist-covered hills of Kandy, prepare to embark on a journey that will engage your senses and spirit. Today, we leave behind the lush greenery of Kandy and set forth towards the pristine shores of Passikudah, but not without a series of enriching experiences along the way.

    After a hearty breakfast in Kandy, we’ll make our way to a local spice garden. Sri Lanka is renowned for its aromatic spices, and this visit will introduce you to the captivating world of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and more. Wander through lush plantations, breathe in the intoxicating scents, and gain insight into the art of spice cultivation. Don’t forget to pick up fragrant Ceylon tea and handcrafted artifacts and souvenirs.

    Stop-over in Dambulla for a delightful lunch where you can savor traditional Sri Lankan cuisine infused with aromatic spices.

    As we approach Passikudah in the late afternoon, the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean come into view. Check into your beachfront hotel where you’ll be greeted by the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. After a long drive, this is the perfect place to unwind.

    In the evening, take a leisurely stroll along the powdery white sands of Passikudah Beach. Watch as the sun begins its descent, casting a warm and golden hue over the horizon. You’ll be captivated by the tranquil beauty of this coastal paradise.

    For dinner, indulge in an exquisite seafood feast at the hotel’s restaurant, freshly caught delicacies are prepared with a touch of local flavors, creating a culinary experience that’s simply divine.

    After a day filled with exploration and relaxation, retire to your comfortable room for a restful night’s sleep, serenaded by the gentle lullaby of the waves.

    Day 11:

    Day by the Bay in Passikudah


    Wake up early to witness one of nature’s most spectacular displays. As the sun peeks over the horizon, the sky is painted in shades of orange and pink, casting a magical glow over the calm waters. This serene moment is a reminder of the beauty that awaits you on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka.

    The entire day is yours to immerse yourself in the peaceful bay of Passikudah. Whether you prefer to soak up the sun on the beach, take a dip in the crystal-clear waters, or explore the vibrant marine life while snorkeling, the choice is yours. Your beachfront hotel offers the perfect backdrop for ultimate relaxation.

    Enjoy a delicious beachside lunch, featuring a variety of options, including fresh seafood and international dishes, all served with breathtaking views of the ocean.

    Indulge in spa treatments, beachside yoga, or simply lounge by the pool with your favorite book. This is your time to unwind and rejuvenate.

    Day 12:

    Sigiriya


    After a delicious breakfast, you’ll find yourself heading to Sigiriya, a tranquil haven that promises rest and rejuvenation in preparation for the exhilarating climb that promises breathtaking vistas and a profound connection to the ages gone by.

    Rest in your hotel, enjoying a scrumptious lunch of your choice. Late afternoon, explore UNESCO World Heritage Site Sigiriya, a 5th-century wonder linked to Prince Kashyapa. Begin at the water garden, pace through the boulder garden and ascend the majestic rock, passing the mirror wall bearing graffiti, spectacular Sigiri frescoes, and gigantic lion paws, reaching the summit for a panoramic view and an astonishing sunset.

    Day 13:

    Sigiriya


    If you are an adventure lover, start your day with a sunrise climb up Pidurangala rock near Sigiriya, offering an unforgettable view with Sigiriya rock in the foreground.

    Return to the hotel for your breakfast.

    Relax in the hotel or head out, cycling around Sigiriya forest area, experiencing the serenity along the moats, and you are sure to spot a significant number of bird species.

    Embark on a boat ride in one of the local lakes. Experience village life or relax in the hotel.

    Retire to your comfortable room.

    Day 14:

    Negombo


    After a hearty breakfast in the shadow of the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, we bid adieu to this ancient marvel and set course for the coastal charm of Negombo. It's your last day of this extraordinary journey, and what better way to celebrate it than with the finest seafood delights? Negombo is famed for its succulent crabs and plump prawns.

    As you explore this coastal haven, you'll discover that Negombo is affectionately known as "Little Rome" due to its wealth of Catholic churches, an intriguing cultural facet to explore.

    In the evening, take a leisurely stroll to the bustling fish market, where the day's fresh catch unfolds before your eyes. And don't forget to bask in the glorious sunset, casting a golden glow over the tranquil waters, before you bid Sri Lanka farewell on your return flight the following day.

    Day 15:

    Departure from Colombo


    Bid farewell to Sri Lanka with cherished memories.

    Your Sri Lankan adventure may be ending, but the memories and flavors of this remarkable journey will linger in your heart forever.

      Customers are responsible for reading the supplier’s terms and conditions, including booking conditions. You agree to abide by the terms or conditions of purchase imposed by any supplier with whom you elect to deal.

    • All prices are quoted in USD. Payments can be made in USD, Euro, GBP, or LKR. Payments can be paid either by a bank transfer or credit card.
    • Validity periods of the tours are as per the PDF. A fresh quote will be raised in the event bookings for two rate periods are made.
    • Rates cover the specific items in the itinerary.
    • All prices are subject to change as per Government, Hotel, or Airline policies without prior notice.
    • In the event of currency fluctuation or an amendment in local Government taxes or any fuel price hike, we reserve the right to amend the tour price accordingly. Any such differences will be communicated to you.
    • The rates have been calculated based on the hotels mentioned in your itinerary. Accommodation at the specified hotels will be confirmed only when we advise you of the confirmation and once we receive your acceptance. In the event any of the above-mentioned hotels are not available at the point of confirmation, we will be compelled to book alternative accommodation, as similar as possible. Should there be a difference in rates – supplementary or reduction, it will be passed on to you.
    • Any increases in Park Fees, Fuel, Sales Tax, or VAT, third-party costs beyond our control in the range specified in our quotation will be subject to change without prior warning.
    • All guests must obtain comprehensive travel insurance, covering themselves for personal accidents, personal effects, medical and emergency travel expenses, cancellation, and curtailment.
    • All guests must comply with international insurance requirements by ensuring that the airline tickets clearly show the passenger’s title, surname, name, and initial (as indicated in their passport). This applies to both scheduled and chartered flights. All guests must provide us with this information when confirming the tour/s.
    • We will organize your internal flights. While we take the utmost care to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for you, Endless Escapes is not responsible for the fitness of the carriers or the safety standards of the carrier company.
    • In compliance with international insurance requirements, Endless Escapes can only make seat reservations, whether on a provisional basis or confirmed basis, on domestic, scheduled, or chartered flights.
    • You will be responsible for any breakages caused by you or any member of your group during your stay in the accommodation. It is your responsibility to rectify the damage or make full payment to the supplier before your departure.
    • We reserve the right to charge USD 100 per change in the event of you wishing to transfer to another tour, change a confirmed booking, or alter your travel arrangements in any way. This is in addition to any cancellation or other charges levied by operators, suppliers, or airlines. The charge applies whether or not we are successful in confirming the amended reservation.
    • While we will use our best endeavors to provide all travel arrangements as confirmed, reasonable changes in the travel arrangements may be made without notice to you if deemed necessary or advisable by us at our discretion.
    • Cancellation of your travel arrangements by you must be notified to us in writing and will take effect the day we receive it. The following penalties will apply depending on the number of days before your travel arrangements commence:
      • Between 41 and 60 days – forfeit of deposit
      • Between 30 and 40 days – 50% of the total ground arrangement cost
      • Between 20 and 29 days – 75% of the total ground arrangement cost
      • 19 or fewer than 19 days – no refund of the total ground arrangement cost. No refund is available to you for cancellations after the commencement of your travel arrangements or for any services not used for any reason. Cancellation policies differ according to each hotel and boutique property. A 100% non-refundable cancellation fee will be charged accordingly.
